Cleaning cedar or pressure treated wood decks requires a scrub with bleach to kill mold and mildew. Allow to dry. A deep clean (read hours of “hands ‘n knees” swabbing) with industrial soap, TCP or other harsh chemicals to strip dirt. Allow to dry for 24 to 48 hours, then apply sealer or stain of choice. Allow to dry. Repeat next year.
