PROBLEM

The owner of this neglected deck was tired. Tired of the amount of time and effort needed to maintain his deck and tired of looking at its less-than-attractive appearance.

What this resident really wanted was an area of dry storage underneath his deck. The pressure-treated wood deck never could provide that, so with its aged appearance and the daunting task of sanding and staining AGAIN, the homeowner decided it was time to do something about it.

DURADEK SOLUTION

The professional Duradek installer identified that the original deck surface did not have (nor had it previously required) the proper slope for a membrane waterproofing system.

Since Duradek professionals always believe in doing it right the first time, the deck was lowered for proper slope before laying a layered plywood surface and finishing with Duradek Ultra Chip Taupe vinyl.

Finally the homeowner has the additional dry outdoor storage that he wanted.

This deck area that was so unpleasant to look at before is transformed into a quality outdoor living space where the owner can actually relax instead of thinking of all the work that needs to be done!
